Will Mac Mini (current... I know it is old) run a 4K TV as monitor

I recently bought a 43 inch 4K television to use as a monitor for my macbook pro 15. Everything is great, but I had to pass my computer on to a family member, and I'm not ready to fully replace the computer. Would a mac mini (current old model) be able to power a 4K television as a monitor? I don't need super performance, but the situation is not long term, and I am trying to stave off buying another laptop or picking up a mini and another monitor.

Thoughts?

Mine runs my 4K TV just fine, for the most part.

Max resolution for the Core i5 4260U (which is found in the most recent base Mini) is 3280x2000@60Hz. This is according to Intel. The integrated graphics on that CPU is Intel HD 5000.

The Mac mini tech specs at www.apple.com indicate that the HDMI port on the current model provides

• Support for 1080p resolution at up to 60Hz
• Support for 3840-by-2160 resolution at 30Hz
• Support for 4096-by-2160 resolution at 24Hz
