I appreciate any advice, especially specifics on RAM etc.
OK I am looking at the MBA simply for portability issues.
Here is what I would like to use on it:
Will need to be able to play World of Warcraft (not as my main gaming machine by any means but if I am on the road for a week or two, having it be able to play would be great).
Would like to be able to run Parallels on it as I require all of the Codex that a windows based system will provide when I watch bit torrents.
Would use it to watch movies and bit torrents. Plus the usual web surfing, email etc that everyone uses.
It is not going to be replacing my iMac, but I want it to be able to do what I mentioned.
I assume I would also have to buy some sort of external DVD/CD drive? Or would it be a pain in the arse to load movies onto it via iTunes.
What MBA specs would best serve these needs? Yeah I know MBP would be better suited for that, but as I said, this is not a computer replacement, but something lightweight that almost works like an iPad for me which also allows for some light gaming when i am away from home.
The main reason the MBA appeals to me is in it's portability and light weight so when I travel I can just place it in a large purse with no worries.
But if it can't do what I need, I will have to wait til something else comes out.
thanks!
