I have a MBP that I have been using for both business and personal, but it has become too much - lugging a 5lb laptop around to every appointment and the wear and tear on being that portable has cost me a HD this year (don't worry i had time machine AND apple care) ----

I am using mobileme to sync everything else, but I'm unsure of the best way to accomplish my mail situation. Currently I am doing this:

1) - MBP: Mail.app has 2 gmail accounts attached - lots of "on my mac" folders, etc. (POP access on purpose)

2) - My iphone has mobileme which gets all of its mail from a gmail forward and sends all of its mail out through the gmail smtp server

3) - My MBA is set up just like my iphone, and thus its inbox looks identical to my iphone.

Is there a way that my MBA's inboxes would look and function just like my MBP without having to use gmail IMAP? Ie: can mobileme sync the entire mail.app content including messages between the two computers using the cloud?

If not, I will stick with things the way that they are - as this works well, the MBA after all is meant to be a portable extension of my MBP, just like my iphone is.

Thanks

Sorry for asking, but what don't you want to use IMAP?

It is designed for allowing you to access and manipulate mail form more that one machine, exactly what you say you are trying to do.

You can have seperate folder is the accout for yo9ur different activites.

Surely it would make your life easier?
