I don't see why you'd need to, the charger you get in the box with it will be 20W, just having a 30W will be faster. your current one should be fine
 
I have an iPad Pro 10.5". Don't remember what charger came with it. I have what appears to be an Apple 12W charger. When I plug it into my iPad, I see a message that says "no charging". If I leave it plugged in long enough (over night), the battery is charged to 100%. If I plug it into a 29 W charger, it charges quickly with no error message (no charger).
