iPhone XS Max will my iphone be ok

been bit of a prat today.
rushing around I ended throwing my XS in the freezer with the food. It was in there for about 25 mins until I couldn’t find it and after pinging it off iCloud and then realising it’s in the freezer

phone seems ok, was really cold but not obviously not in there long enough to freeze it.

is it a lucky escape or could there be issues down the line

Probably yes if it's still water tight.

There are researchers in Antarctica using the damn things to photograph penguins.

As long as the phone is still sealed against water and moisture didn't get into the phone you should be fine, your battery might need a quick recharge tho.

I take it there isn’t a way to inspect that it’s still water tight and sealed

Honestly, freezers aren't very cold. I've left my phone in my car overnight many times in the winter without any permanent effect. Source: Am Canadian. We pray for days when it will warm up to the temperature of a freezer.

If it hasn't gone through major impact, it's probably fine.
