iPod will not play on this ipod

I have a 30 gig ipod classic and i download vodcasts from itunes. I have not used it in about 9 months or so and now when i try to sync a new vodcast it says "will not play on this ipod". What do I do now? Is my ipod obsolete?

I guess that means they video is not compatible with the iPod.Would you mind droping the mp4/m4v file in to Media Info Mac and pasting the result?

I don't understand that. How can the file be compatible if the message says "will not play on this Ipod"?
