This thing drives me insane!
I've not opened or used the photos app for months, but frequently the 'photoanalysisd' goes into absolute meltdown and the CPU is just over the top to ridiculous lengths.
Every explanation for this process is always... 'because you’ve just imported/converted an existing Photos library from an earlier version of macOS'. Yeh, about six months ago. I changed Sierra to High Sierra several months ago and not used 'Photos' or opened it for months either. Rarely ever use it.
