Damn! i just wanna install my iWork trial. I deleted it because I didn't use it. Is there any way to avoid reinstalling OS X, and still install iWork?

Pacifist will probably let you extract iWork from your install DVD, but I think Pacifist costs money.

okay, so there's no other way to install iWork for free than reinstalling OS X. Ok.

(Rather buy full version iWork than this Pacifist).

Uh, you should be able to reinstall iWork by putting your OS X disc back in and picking the optional installs. Pacifist works just fine in shareware mode too.

Actually, Pacifist seems to be shareware that can be used without registering, but encourages you to register if you find it useful.

If you do archive and install, remember to make sure that preserve user data is checked, so that you don't lose your user data and settings.

There was only one disc with my MB. I haven't got time to get this Pacifist, and don't wanna take the risk of deleting my stuff. I just need to create a birthday card real quick. I have the Office 2004 suite, any ideas? Any free programs I can use, thanks for any help...

Put your OS X disc back in and pick the Optional Installs. iWork is there.

Oh right, you just gotta choose "Install bundled software only".:D

Yeah it's either Optional Install or Install Bundled Software. X11 is in optional installs and I get a lot of questions about that one.

Can't you just go here and download the trail if it isn't separate on your install disc? (I know nothing about this web site though- download at your own risk)

Oh, I didn't know abut that site. Well, it turned out my 30 days had expired, so I couldn't save or print documents, so I ended up taking a screenshot of the document, and the printing it.:p
