Will restoring allow you to switch sims?

I'm not upgrade eligible through rogers, but my brother is.

If he buys it, restores it and then gives it to me, will I be able to use it with my rogers sim?

Anyone have any ideas about using a different sim from the same provider? Will it work?

Yes it will work. He doesn't even have to restore it, just put your sim in it and it will work. Your number will show up in the contacts and phone sections as it should.

It may take a few minutes for the Rogers logo to show up, it seems slower on the 3G iPhone than on the old ones.
