I came home and plugged in my iPhone, as I usually do. It became stuck while syncing bookmarks, so I checked to see if all my applications were still running fine. Safari wasn't responding, so I closed it. It was still stuck, so I force quit iChat, too, which was also not responding. I then received a prompt saying that over 5% of my addresses were changed, and if I wanted to update. I didn't think much of it and said yes. When I reopened iChat I noticed none of my screen names had actual names associated with them. So I opened my address book and all of my contacts are gone.
I checked my Library\Application Support\Address Book folder and don't have a file that ends in .abcddb. I also tried to restore from my previous address book, and that also didn't work. Since I have MobileMe, all of my contacts are also gone from my iPhone. If I restore from my previous backup will it be possible to get my contacts back, or are they gone forever?
