Will shoddy products tarnish the cult of Steve Jobs?

What shoddy products are you referring to?

EDIT: Oh I get it, this is another attempt at keeping the antenna issue at the top of the boards right? I should have known better.

Here's three things that would have minimized the issue:

1) Apple doesn't allow Steve Jobs to communicate with people outside of Apple, ever, for any reason. His secretary's secretary's secretary should be the one ordering his tofu and sprouts pizza.

2) Apple simply admits that the phone has a design flaw, they're reviewing the design, eventually changes will be made when they're sure the design is solid and they'll do right by their customer base.

3) People on this site and several others who haven't experienced the problem realize they're not the center of the known universe and keep their pointless insults, sarcasm, denials and hyperbole to themselves, for a change.

Since no one could manage to pull off even one of these three things, Apple is rightfully getting slammed in the media and Consumer Reports reviewed the phone they're selling instead of waiting for one that worked properly. Tough.

I forgive you for you ignorance and gulibility to follow the cult of the media and what it over inflates. Watch the July 16 press conference by steve jobs which will educate you on the "Hard Data". That problem only effect .55% of users and apple will satisfy them with a FULL refund no questions asked or a free case.

What's your take on this?

If this is how you want to define a shoddy product, then Apple has a several year history of releasing them.

The coating on PowerBooks back in '04 would pit from the acid commonly found on hands, the hinges on the titanium PowerBooks were notorious for breaking under normal use, many first generation MacBooks would randomly shut down, the last model hi-res PowerBook had a screen that was prone to horizontal banding.

The list really does go on and on.

So far, nothing seems to be tarnished.
