Just curious as I wait.... when I tap "Software updates" >> "Beta Updates", software update currently displays options for ios 17 public and developer betas. Will this switch to ios 18 developer and public betas without my intervention when they are available, or do I need to do something?

I just checked the Apple Developer site, and the relevant sections to your question are down for “scheduled maintenance”.

EDIT: so no one knows quite yet.

It told me my Apple ID was not enrolled in the Appleseed program (anymore) and when I went to the site, it's under maintenance. After a reboot, I only have the public and developer beta options.

The downloads page is back up, but the release notes return a “page not found” error.

It is live indeed, downloading it RN. To me this update was way more exciting than iOS17, that was boring AF. Lots of quality of life improvements this year instead of useless sharing bollocks nobody uses.

I’m not seeing the profile yet, actually. Do I need to restart my devices?
