my specs exceed the recommend for the most part I'm just worried about the graphics card. I have an AMD Radeon HD 6490M in my macbook and along with the integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 but I'm not sure if the game will run well or even run at all can anyone let me know?

you are fine. don't worry. this game demands for more CPU power than GPU. your graphic card is relatively fine. but it's not super best (just middle class with capability of DX11). I think that it has only 256MB memory. but it is still very recent one.
I played OK on mine after lowering settings a bit - I have the 6750.
That is no indication of the gaming potential of today's MBPs though. Boot into Windows and games run great.
UBI uses some kind of emulation or does really bad ports because I found AC unplayable on my MP (5770) and MBP.

I have heard the game runs terribly in this mac port sadly. Get it on windows or on a console if you have one as it is pretty cheap for all platforms now. Its a fairly good game but if you are looking for the stealth from the previous games steer clear of this.
alright thanks for the heads up guys, I think I'll pick it up I don't really mind play games on the lowest setting if I have too.
