I don't think there are any minimum requirements at the moment, so it's hard to say.

All we can do is provide you with speculation but this game is being ported to the Wii so its likely that any Intel Mac could run it. A Macbook is certainly not going to do the game justice in the graphics department but it should still let you play it.

The Wii has a much better graphics chip than the MacBook. But yeah, no specs yet that I know of, except that it mostly depends on what the PC version will have for requirements (since the Mac version will be a Cider "port").

The lead developer for Spore said MacBooks will be fine. However, not sure if he meant the newest revision with the X3100 or not.

i want the game so much its unbearable

anyway i think it should work on a website (i forget)
it said that graphics don't matter and will not play a important part in the game!
also they said something to do with the apple II !
anyway if the graphics card isn't accepted if i placed the game in what would happen?
would it be playable
i ain't boverd if the graphics are rubbish
just as long as its playable to a state of which text is readable and action isn't slow and jutted like!
