Like the person above said, it only works when you send the first text, and that person replies that text in a threaded conversation. If that person opens contacts and sends you a whole new text, you will be paying for it. If you are a heavy texter it may not work for you as you will recive the odd sms directly to your phone. It is good for you to supplement you 200 sms plan.

It's different. Netshare is actual tethering using the cellular connection.
Text Free uses data which is separate from real texting which uses the cellular connection. It's not the only one that does this. Any of the IM applications can send SMS using data.
You guys can avoid paying for free texts. textplus does the same thing (free texts on iphone or ipod touch, push notification) but also with group messaging benefits. Good app
