Will the APC SMT1000 support my Mac Pro config?

I have a 2010 Mac Pro 8-core Westemere 2.4 with 4 x 1 TB HDD and a Apple 30" Cinema Display. Will the APC SMT1000 support this setup? I believe this model is a pure-sine wave output. All I need is a reliable UPS that will give my machine ample time to shut down on its own in case of a power outage, and I also want something to protect against "brown-outs" and power surges.

I know there has been talk about the SMT1500, but I can get the SMT1000 tomorrow at a local retail store which would be nice.

In addition, would this one also work? I believe this one is the "on-line" version.

It's a Line Interactive model with a Pure Sine wave inverter, which will work well with an Active PFC PSU such as the one in the MP.

BTW, the number behind the letters is the VA value, which translates into more time for a fixed load. So 1500VA will provide a longer run time when on the inverter than a 100VA unit. Please note, that as the batteries age, the usable time reduces. So it won't last as long say 1+ years down the road vs. new batteries. This is where the larger VA values really help out (plan on replacing batteries every 3 years to be safe; they can last longer, but it's not a given they will).

Yes, the SMT1000 should be fine. Mine supports a Westmere + 3 LCDs showing ~40% load.

I also have the SMT1000I and will be putting a Westmere 6-core single CPU and one 27" ACD on it and I expect it to be around 30-40% load at idle and around 40-60% when pushed. Battery runtimes should be somewhere in the order of 30 mins when idle and 15-20 mins on load according to the APC site.
