iPad Will the Apple leather cases on the Air 2 discolor like the iPhone 6 leather cases?

I know some discoloration is normal but do you think they'll discolor badly on the edges like the new iPhone versions in blue etc..?

I really wanted a blue Smartcase on my new gold Air but not if it'll discolor in 3 days.

The cases are way too expensive. Thought about buying the Smart Cover, but that seems to unprotective. Need a folio kinda thing in leather that isn't from Apple. Maybe Knomo or similar
