I'm going to Toronto tomorrow to meet the trailor park boys and while I'm out there I want pick up some more ram. Will the apple store sell me just the ram? I'd rather do it myself at home and not have to drag my lappy with me. I am a little tired of beach balllin out all the time(core duo stock blackbook). I plan on 2 gigs.

Any chance leopard will support the intel gpu for up to 224 like in windows?

thanks ahead of time.

Get your RAM from a third party and save yourself some money. Apple seriously jacks up their RAM prices. You're in Canada so try canadaram.com

In most cases, swiftaw is correct. However, if you insist, the store will sell you the RAM.

Apple does not produce RAM. They buy it from someone and sell it. The sticks aren't even Apple branded.

I, along with thousands of members on this forum, will tell you it's ridiculous to pay more for RAM from Apple just because it's Apple RAM. Just buy RAM that has a lifetime warranty and is guaranteed to work with your computer.

Ok, but apple doesn't actually make it's own RAM, I think it's just relabeled Samsung RAM. There is no performance gain my using apple's own and if you buy from a reputable 3rd party there are no compatibility problems either.

Plus, most reputable venders offer lifetime warranties on their RAM, I'm not sure what apple's RAM warranty is.

But, yes, if you want Apple RAM they do stock it in stores.

Apple will sell you (in many cases) the same RAM you can get online for a fraction of the price. last time i checked, 2x1GB sticks were $600 from Apple and around $200 online.

Apple ram only comes with a 1-year warranty.

You should be able to find 2-1GB sticks for as low as $100CAD each...They can be up to like $175 in some stores, if not more.
