Lots of talk about the different sizes and I'm fairly sure I'm going for the 42mm one but will it have a bigger battery and therefore longer run time?
It will have to just to drive the larger screen. If not it would have a considerably shorter batt life.
You could say the same about the iPhone 6 vs 6 Plus. Even with the larger screen, the battery life is significantly better in the 6 Plus.
I'd think a 4mm difference is nothing like the big jump in battery life going from the 6 to the much larger 6+.
How long do you think it will take to charge? I am thinking 30 minutes Max!

The larger Watch is not just taller though, but also wider by a slight amount. If all of the extra internal volume is actually dedicated for battery though remains to be seen. We might have to wait for the inevitable teardowns, assuming anyone can get inside these things without wrecking them... (No visible screws on the outside means copious amounts of Magic Apple Glue will have been used for assembly... )An extra 4mm is not a lot of extra battery room.
I'm guessing it will, but not by much. An extra 4mm is not a lot of extra battery room.
I'm not clever enough to do the maths exactly, but it may translate into a reasonable percentage increase. Bear in mind that the case takes up some of the 38mm distance, so the battery may well only measure (for sake of argument) 32mm. As the 4mm increase won't require a thicker case, the battery in the 42mm may well be 36mm. That is a 12.5% increase. Take into consideration a similar increase in the other direction, and that could make the battery 25% bigger in the 42mm watch. Not to be sniffed at!
Here you go.
38mm = 92,480 pixels
42mm = 121,680 pixels
What? You can have half pixels you? You say an nonsense here.
I'm guessing he's unfamiliar with murricans' use of commas to separate up large numbers. In Euro Disneyland, the comma is used to indicate decimals.I have no idea what you are trying to say.

*shrug*
I see and could be. However the math still works the same for 92,480 and 121,680 or 92.480 and 121.680.
Here you go.
38mm = 92,480 pixels
42mm = 121,680 pixels
So the 42mm has over 27% more pixels to drive. So if all other things are equal and the 38mm had a 350mAh battery the 42mm would need a 460mAh for relatively the same battery life.
I would think that the number of pixels is not directly proportional to power requirements....QUOTE]
Did you miss thisa part "...So if all other things are equal..."

Ah, you'll want to say 92 480 and 121 680?
No, it's 92,480 and 121,680 just like I typed it.
