Will the iPad incorporate flash soon?

Absolutely.

I mean it is such a big failure without. Look at the current sales. They will not rise until Flash and Silverlight and all the other good web interface plug-ins have been incorporated.



But seriously, why another thread? There are already dozens about this issue?
Lazy much?


And the non-sarcastic answer is .................... NO.

No way. Even setting aside the fact that that it still hasn't hit iPhone/iPod Touch, Steve Jobs has been pretty emphatic that there will be no flash.
 
No, because like you, the engineers at Apple are too lazy to search MacRumors for the answer.
 
I guessing Steve would have to leave first, even then it's only 50/50.
 
I think Ipad needs lots of improvements next release to compete with other "pads" from Microsoft, Fujitsu, Dell...

However, Flash is a difference story. Flash can not become a standard because it's source code is not published. It is Adobe product. Because of this issue, web developers will not support Flash. HTML5 is now being developed and it is considered to take the role of Flash in the future.

So, I think Jobs has a good reason to refuse Flash from not only iPad but also every Apple's products.
 
Plain and simple, no.

Not anytime soon if ever. I used to say for iPhone (we are getting flash soon right?". That never happened. Don't expect it to happen for the iPad.
 
I'd say it's more likely that HTML's presence will greatly increase and make Flash less desirable before we see Flash run on the iPhone or iPad.

Apple does not support Flash because it is so buggy, he says. Whenever a Mac crashes more often than not it's because of Flash. No one will be using Flash, he says. The world is moving to HTML5.

There aren't any other pads or pad concepts. There are some tablet computers out there, but they have a different concept. Microsoft's Courier is just another "me too" product in more than 20 years of "me too" products, most of which are little more than bugs on Apple's windshield.

Flash is a huge resource hog and its use has a significant negative effect on power consumption. Because battery life is so important to mobile computing, anything that impairs that is just not going to hang in there for the long haul. Flash was designed way back when laptops and smart phones were a very small part of the market. The market has changed a lot, but Flash hasn't.
