Hello everyone :)

I couldn't find any information about the supposed dimensions of the body of the iPhone 12 6.1" / 12 Pro 6.1".
I saw that the borders of these models should be thinner than the iPhone 11's, which seems logical if the screen is OLED as opposed to the iPhone 11.

In short, even if all these iPhones have a 6.1" screen, can we expect a slightly more compact or lighter format than the iPhone 11? Have you seen any rumors about this?

Many thanks !

Thank me later.

iPhone 12:

Height: 132,6 mm
Width: 65,8 mm
Depth: 7,9 mm

iPhone 12 Max:

Height: 150,9 mm
Width: 75,7 mm
Depth: 8,0 mm

iPhone 12 Pro:

Height: 150,9 mm
Width: 75,7 mm
Depth: 8,0 mm

iPhone 12 Pro Max:

Height: 162 mm
Width: 79,2 mm
Depth: 8,5 mm

What is your source ? Is it reliable ?
So, iPhone 11 width = iPhone 12 6.1" width ? I would enjoy a more borderless look like the current Pro series.
Thanks!

I have just found different dimensions on another site but i'm not sure it's very reliable, seems too small to be true.

iPhone 12 Pro Max Dimensions:
Height – 16 cm
Width – 7.8 cm
Depth – 0.8 cm
iPhone 12 Pro Dimensions:
Height – 14.5 cm
Width – 7.1 cm
Depth – 0.8 cm
iPhone 12 Max Dimensions:
Height – 14.5 cm
Width – 7.1 cm
Depth – 0.8 cm
iPhone 12 Dimensions:
Height – 13 cm
Width – 6.4 cm
Depth – 0.8 cm

I can't thank you.
Bezels will be smaller on all models. Definetely 12 pro and 12 Max can't have same dimensions o_O
Why would you pay 300 eur/$ more then ?

This is possible. The addition of LiDAR and a 3rd optical sensor (+ maybe mmWave 5G), can lead to a difference in weight, without changing the dimensions. I don't find it absurd. I find it even logical to increase Apple's margin (economy of scale on accesories, maybe packaging etc.).

Our two sources are different but give in any case the same dimensions for these two models, so it is possible.

Thank me later.

Doesn't make sense at all.
The iPhone 11 has thicker bezels than the iPhone 11 Pro due to LCD screen and you're listing the iPhone 12 Pro at 6.1 as the exact same size as an iphone 11 6.1 LCD screen phone. That would mean bezels of the Pro models are getting significantly thicker this year.

I am not at all saying that these random case manufacturers are correct and I already received my iPhone 12 Pro Max 6.7" case from Amazon.

But from the Amazon listings the iPhone 12 6.1" cases fit both the 12 Pro and non Pro models so they should be similar in size I would assume. Below is one example:

All of the rumors put both the 12 Max and the 12 Pro as 6.1” screens which implies that the bodies are the same size, too. I suspect that they will be differentiated by features such as cameras, LIDAR, etc.

Anyone has find a reputable rumor on iPhone 12 dimensions ?
I would be gladed to see if iPhone 12 can be thinner or with even less bezels.

It would be interesting to compare dimension of both new 6.1 iPhone vs iPhone 11 to see the size/thickness optimisation. I love iPhone 11 screen size but I find it slighlty too thick.

It should be slightly smaller. Otherwise they wouldn't have put a smaller battery on it 😌

If rumours are to be believed the 12 max (and 12 pro) will be almost as compact as the current 11 pro, thinner (around 7.4 mm but i doubt it will be that thin) and lighter.

Yes I have seen that 7.4mm thickness several times, that would be very pleasing in the hand vs 8.1mm from the 11 Pro.
It would made the Phone as thin as the 8/ SE 2 which is impressive given all the hardware inside.
But it looks a bit agressive. I mean how can they put all the incoming hardware and a decent battery with so much less space

I was hoping they would keep the same iphone XR/11 dimensions but make it 6.2 or 6.3" with slimmer bezels. Since the iPhone XR/11 is the perfect size imo. But apparently it's 99% gonna be 6.1" in a smaller form factor.
