Does anyone know? I read a few very brief articles concerning the matter saying that it would happen but I've yet to come across anything official. Thoughts?

AOL Instant Messaging was demoed during the iPhone SDK launch, so it seems certain it will be available.

Even if AOL doesn't do it, someone will do it shortly.

If AOL does provide AIM for the iPhone, will it run in the background? Can I surf the web, talk on the phone, read email, and still get AIM messages?

Will it appear to work just like it does on a Mac/PC?
