I think it is safe to say that the Moto 360 is the best looking smart watch currently by far. Do you guys believe Apple can out do Motorola in the design department with the iWatch? Love to hear your thoughts.

Pretty sure that if the iWatch is real it will sell more than all other smart watches combined making it more desirable i guess.
Considering an iWatch would have the branding of an iProduct, you can assume people would buy it for that reason alone. Also there's the whole ecosystem thing.
Im waiting for to see what they offer and in what price. Can they really offer a competitor in the the same price as others, or do they offer some overpriced gadget. If the price is high, i dont believe that "people will buy it for a reason being iProduct". It is still a watch, not a phone or a tablet, with limited functionality.
Tricky question, as far as looks I believe the iWatch will have a curved elongated glass bevel so it will have more of a futuristic look. IMO, the moto 360 will look better. If by desire you mean brand then of course Motorola has no chance against the mighty fruit.
Well then neither of these devices are going to fit the bill. I have to admit I'm a bit surprised that Google didn't make Android Wear (or some variation) compatible with iOS considering so many of their other applications/service are. Hell, even Glass works with iOS.
I certainly don't expect Apple's offering to work with anything other than Apple devices.
Yes indeed, it is a bit of a head scratcher that google has not made wear compatible with iOS. Perhaps they intend to in the future. I believe one of the biggest hurdles would be ios' lack of a notification sharing api
Yeah, it would have to be its own stand-alone application and I doubt it would be as robust as on Android phones. It's also my understanding that Apple refuses to approve any applications that include the name 'Android' (but 'Google' is OK,
). That's a bit ridiculous but, par for the course I guess for Apple.
Pretty sure if Apple etched its logo on a lump of coal it would sell more than 99% of any product on stores shelves. The iWatch doesn't even need to be competitive with other smart watches or match specs. If it tells the time and just gives notifications, it will be enough to outsell all other watches combined. (My guess anyway.)
The iWatch isn't even real yet so this whole conversation is meaningless. For all we know the iWatch will just do the exact same **** as Android Wear anyway. However with Apple's strong brand I do predict the product being more popular than Android Wear devices unless Google or the OEMs up their marketing muscle for their Wear watches. On the other hand though, Apple's watch is virtually guaranteed to be more expensive than any Android watch, so while it may be "cooler" due to the Apple brand you may see more Android watches out and about when these things become more commonplace. Not to forget that the Android ecosystem is absolutely massive too and people already bought into it will want a Google smartwatch. The iWatch is highly unlikely to work with Android phones.
Apple can sell 10 million of them but as long as i have my phone on me, i still wont see a need for a $250-300 watch(thats what i figure Apples will cost) that doesnt do nearly as much. Maybe two or three years from now they do something that ill care about but, i dont even wear a regular watch.
I agree, if the price is right I bite but that much for a glorified extension of my phone I won't.
In terms of looks I'm sure the iWatch will outdo everything else. Google got it nearly right with the 360 but the fact that the whole round isn't filled by screen is quite a bummer and their solution (that field with a straight edge that isn't filled by screen, only on one side of the round) isn't the best.

I found it curious that the bottom of the round display isn't filled either, but apparently that's likely the location of sensors (light, proximity, etc). As there is basically no bezel, no other viable option for sensor placement.
Although, more people have Android devices, so regardless of its desirability, the Apple watch might not outsell android wearables.
Sure, I know that there's a reason for it being there. I just have trouble with that particular choice of where to put it. Disturbing the perfect round shape like that is just uhhh...... I would have taken a bit of symmetrical bezel or even a weird piece of metal jutting out to the side any day over that cut in the perfect form.
