Will the last-gens have the option for longer battery life?

Any chance of this happening? An option to purchase a new battery with 7 hours of life?

At some point a third party company could provide a battery with better battery life. For now buying multiple batteries is the way to go.

No, the battery is a different size. (In fact, that most of the reason WHY it lasts longer, and isn't removable. The battery packs are way more space-efficient inside)
