Will the MB ever get a dedicated graphics Card?

I was thinking something along the lines of:

Next refresh put a Go 7950GTX in the MBP and a Go 7600GT in the MB. The MBP would still be a lot stronger, and by the next round the DX10's will be out and the GTX will be cheap, and able to run games like FEAR max @ 1680*1050 gets ~45 FPS. While the 7600GT will be able to play games ~medium and some high at the MB's highest resolution, 1440X900 I think. Heck looking at some reviews it even gets 20-25FPS outside total maxed ES4 at that resolution. 20 may be a little choppy, but 100% playable on a game like ES4.

No. The Macbook WILL get the X3000/X3100 (whichever it is) Intel integrated graphics. The MBP could get the HD2600, but we don't know.

The Macbook will almost certainly never have a dedicated graphics card. I say this because it only has to be true for 5 years or so, before dedicated GPUs are a thing of the past, and either graphics cards are melded into the CPU, or the other way, or most likely a combination of the two. CPGPUs (or whatever they are called) are the future, and one of them will undoubtedly find its way into the MB in a few years, increasing its graphics performance immensely. In the mean time, the X3100 isn't too bad. Much, much better than the 965 or whatever we have now.

yeap, i agree with previous statement. i doubt it will have one for a very long time.
macbooks are designed for the regular users and for those who need the power and graphics will be pointed to the pro. just simple marketing practice too.

I can't see them dropping integrated graphics for the MB. They can stick with integrated graphics, maintain a greater profit margin, and delinate product lines more clearly.

The the mobile 7950's likely draw too much power (and thus, generate too much heat) to go in the MBP case. Even the mobile 7600's draw slightly more (~2W, if what I've read is accurate) than the current X1600.

A quick google suggests that the GeForce Go 7950 draws 45w, almost 3x that of the X1600.
