Will the new '7 inch ipad be an ipad2?

I doubt it.
I mean if they do make a change I can imagine a camera being it (with a justification that "it's smaller and more portable it seems like you'll be getting it out more for photos")
Personally I see the multiple size/price point thing possibly being adopted. But i imagine the new one would probably be cheaper have only 8GB or 16GB and def' no extra features.
As for the apps working on the screen thing people are starting to go on about. . . Surely they would just have the same iPad resolution with a higher dpi? Is that not how it works?

I can confirm this source and add in that i just e-mailed steve and he confirmed that it will have retina display and a front facing camera. He did mention that you would not be able to hold the ipad a certain way, lest you want to block the 3g connection.
1. Would developers have to go back to the drawing boards for a third time with this smaller screen or would it be able to run the same version of the iPad apps now?
2. Is there really a need for two different iPad sizes. If u go smaller, why not just be small.
3. What's the reason to rush a new version of the iPad when the first one is hard to keep on shelves. Competion may go smaller, but next April really won't be that far away by the time the competition REALLY takes a stand.
4. Can apple not find a way to make those 2 batteries any lighter by next year so people can stop complaining about the weight?
5. Would it be as feature rich as the current iPad or would it be a dumbed down version to satisfy those who don't have the cash.
