Will the new iMac have a dedicated GPU?

It already does, so I say 100% yes, it will. If you are thinking MacBook, I'd say there is a very slim chance.
And I think the new iMacs will have really nice GPU's, too. Apple would need it for the gaming market.
The 17" "education" model iMac has the same lousy GMA 950 that the MacBook and Mini have. Every other iMac ever made has had a "real" GPU, so unless Apple have completely lost their minds, that trend will continue.

The only bad thing is Apple doesnt allow for different gpu's unless tied to bigger monitors. A 20" & 8600GT would work for me. Not that mobile stuff either. I dont want to hear this 8600MGT.

Or at lest the ability to upgrade to one. Technology is not slowing down, so using "yesterdays" technology in todays systems just makes them less compelling compared to other products. I mean ive seen 8800's in mid-range systems now (PC) so a 320mb 8800 in an iMac surley wouldnt be TOO much cost wise.
Ok btw so the 8600 is at least part of the new 8xxx series (not yesterdays technology) but it can only get worse from where it is now performance wise, not better. If Apple are serious about trying to offer a good platform for games too, they need to offer the high-end versions. The higher end 8800 will look a lot better for games launched next year, than an 8600 is going too. Dispite its name i believe the 8600 is still pretty crippled compared to its older brother.

An optimistic guess: 8600 GT/GTS on low-end, 8800 GTS on high-end.
An Appleamistic guess: 8600 GT with a 128 MB/ 256 MB split (although thinking about it, I don't even think a 8600 GT with 128 MB exists)
