“Liquid glass” makes the menu bar transparent. To date, some of us with M-series MacBooks have used dark backgrounds to “hide” the notch. Do you think the transparent menu bar will make the notch more or less noticeable? I’m thinking less, since the menu bar contrasts with a dark backgrounds.

more as I normally used dark mode. Also the text just like on the iOS icons, can be hard to read depending on the background you have as it is white and not super bright

Yes find it more noticeable too, maybe it is a sign M5 Macbooks will get rid of the notch 🙏
Supposedly M6 MBP (late 2026) — that's when they will refresh with OLED displays — is switching to a hole-punch camera instead of a full notch.

I don't use a dark background, I use Top Notch and it works seamlessly. Feels like a classic MBP, such as the legendary 2020 16"

does it just make the menubar black?

I mean, what else do you want it to do?

It also lets you use it on Dynamic Wallpapers, allows you to curve the menu bar to go around the edges of your screen and a few other things, but yes, it makes your menu bar black lol
