Will The Sims 2 work on my Mac

I downloaded Aspyr's Game Agent, it said that I didn't have the right video card and that was the only issue. It seems like a big issue, but is it? Should I buy the sims 2 or will the graphics be weird?

My friend can get the Sims 2 to run on her Core 2 Duo MacBook with 1GB of RAM.

Ummm....I am not entirely sure. The only thing it said that I was missing was the videocard...I had the wrong one...I know my laptop is fairly new. It is actually a computer from my college which I bought so I am not entirely sure.
