So if I get the BTO i7 MBA, can I expect to be able to run garageband quickly and efficiently with no issues?

For work, this is going to be just fine, but I do use garageband as a pretty heavy user... 20+ tracks, some effects, etc...

This is my only deciding factor between the MBA and the MBP - I travel a bit so the MBA is great for that, and I walk every day to and from the office so even better for that. I would prefer the MBA but only if it can handle my garageband use adequately.

BUMP

I realize I would have way more success if I complained about not being able to play World of Warcraft or backlit keys...

But come on, no one on this forum knows anything about audio work?

That doesn't sound too heavy. You should be fine.

EDIT: Also why not use Logic or FL Studio? Both are much better.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; it-it) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

It depends on wether you put real time effects on those tracks. Btw what do you mean with adequate? And what about very large soundbanks?

I made my handle because that is the only thing I use the computer for that is not the internet, email and ms office.

I use garageband because I am lousy with computers and I know how to use it, but logic confuses me... I'll accept between 3-5 snarky comments here.

Real time effects yes, but mostly software instruments and vocals. Very rarely do I record guitars - I am better at playing guitar on the keyboard then on the guitar.

Does 3-5 include my snarky comment? :D
