I hope so. I want to see the replacement for the current 9.7" entry-level iPad. There's a 10.2" coming.

It's likely there will be:

A spec improvement to the current iPad Pros in October.
A new 10.2" budget iPad replacement in October.

New iPads in 2020 (either Air 3 / Mini 5 successors).

So depending which models you're interested in, make your decisions off of this. It's only a guesstimate... but until these events happen it's all you've got to decide on.

Personally, I say if you want one now, get one now. They're all good choices, will be supported for a long time and will perform beautifully for a very long time.

I'm hoping to see that this month! iPads have been unveiled at the September event before, and if iPad OS is launching alongside iOS 13, it really does make sense for them to have a new iPad to launch with it.

The rumor yesterday was that the Pros aren't coming until next year and it'll just be a 10.2 model being introduced this year. We'll find out Tuesday. Maybe. Sometimes they push the iPad stuff until October, but it makes sense with IpadOS coming out to introduce any new iPads alongside it.

Yes. Maybe at the September 10th Keynote. Or in October.
