Hi everyone,
I want to buy the next release of the MBA with SandyBrdge and Thunderbolt in it. As the current MBA does not fit my requirements (I need a GBit LAN port) and the MBP does not as well (1440*900 is a must) I am "forced" to wait for the new MBA.

Is there already or will there be a Thunderbolt to LAN Adapter to run a GBit lan? What do you think?

Thanks for your answers!

I haven't seen any product announcements, but it seems like an obvious function, probably as part of a break-out box or docking station type of device.

Just curious - why do you need a GB LAN port?

I need to copy big amount of data (between 20 and 30 GB) once or twice a week to a QNAP and that takes a long time with 100 MBit or wireless.

It will soon I'm sure. Thunderbolt is relatively new. No different then mini-display port to HDMI adapter. I remember that feeling like forever before it came out.
