Now all the madness has settled down and we have a reasonably good idea of what we are going to get with the iPad does any one believe like i do that Apple may not have given us the whole story yet ?

To me the launch seemed rushed, i know most of what we saw has all ready been done on the Iphone/Touch and TBH if you look at it we have spoilt with just what that can do, Apple then show us the tablet and we all go well nothing much new there, but thinking about it all these devices are remarkable even if we perceive them to be old tech, but i still get the feeling apple were holding back, perhaps purposely leaving out some surprises or perhaps not, either way now the lid is off the iPad and there has been quite a lot of criticism about lack of features like multi tasking and webcam do we think where will be some surprises at launch?

There will be no surprises. What you see is what you get.
I do think Multi-tasking in some form will be in 4.0 released june or july.

As much as I would love a surprise like a touch sensitive bezel, or a camera, I just know it won't happen. Although, I'm hoping! :)

I'm betting on no surprises at the actual launch, no hardware surprises at all, but we'll have a demo of OS4.0 with all kinds of surprises shortly before the wifi iPad is launched. I also think Apple will announce new apps and features regularly between now and launch. I can see them demoing particularly good 3rd party apps on their website or at any events they are holding. I also think they may have an app or two up their sleeves...

I think the hardware is set in stone for now. I expect Apple to have a few apps for us by launch.

I don't know why people are thinking that Apple has some surprise up their sleeves.
I makes no sense that they would. At least not any hardware changes.
Why would they present something for the whole world , that wasn't the finished design ? A hidden camera on the device , that they didn't mention ? WHY would they do that? So that they could get crap about not adding camera, and than surprise "we fooled all of you". It makes no sense at any level.
This is the final design, final! :p

I've seen that pic and while it looks like an iSight, it's likely just something different. If it had a camera, he would have told us. And he would have done a lame video iChat with Schiller.

No surprises except for how many haters here went out and bought one on launch day.

Looking back at the history of Apple, has there ever been anything other than exactly what they said they would do? My guess would be no. No camera, no flash, no Verizon. What you see is what you get. Probably a safer bet than the super bowl.

Yes. There are things not mentioned at the announcement that we will find out. We may find them out between now and before the release though.
Depends on what you call a surprise though - it might not be completely iPad related.
