Hi i have a 2012 Ivy bridge mac mini and i want to know weather this will slow my system down if so how bad? i have 2 monitors 1 Asus 27inch 1920x1080 and 1 HP LE1901w 1440X900 1 through HDMI and another through Mini display to vga. i want to have pictures running on a slideshow on my smaller 17inch 1440x900 monitor i want them to change every 5 seconds. here are my system specs

Mac mini 6,1 2012
i5 2.5Ghz
16GB 1600Mhz Ram
Intel HD 4000
samsung 840 250GB ssd

I know the title is missleading sorry.

also i have decided to run the photos from my external hdd so just need to know now how bad it will effect the performance of my computer

Its USB 3 500GB HDD around 4300 photos maximum resolution of 16MP only for around 400 of the photos so am i good my system wont slow down graphics etc...
 
So far so good i have not noticed any slow down in performance on simple things like minecraft and light-medium video editing :)

I can't see how it would slow down. Looks like a good setup.
 
You might want to load iStat menus if you can fork out the few dollars. It will give you a complete run down on CPU usage etc so you will know specifically if your setup is being stressed at all.
