I searched, I googled, I couldn't find a list of reports of people successfully flashing this card. Will it work okay and work with my MP 1,1? Note the HDMI

VisionTek - ATI Radeon HD 5870 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express Graphics Card

it's got 6 display ports on it (WTF?!)

Keep in mind I only use DVI (not even dual link), although HDMI would be nice :)

Yes, I know it's overpriced, but I have a best buy gift card so it's magically worth it

I have yet to see a 2 GB 5870 posted as flashed and good to go.
My advice would be stick to what others have managed already, as it is more expensive than the Apple one it really doesn't look worth the risk.
I think it would be magically a right pain in the arse.

That's what I wanted to do, but there weren't any other models in stock at best buy.

It is unlikely that it will work because there is no Apple eqvivalent, therefore OSX probably lacks drivers for six port output.

I'd be happy with 2 ports working, I read that other 3-port cards support 2 (and when you plug in a 3rd, it doesn't work until you unplug one of the others).

Again, I'd prefer to buy a cheaper card that's assured to work, but Best Buy doesn't have any others. Looks like I should sell my gift card on craigslist at a loss and buy a different one.
