I have a Windows XP Home Edition certificate that came with my old Connectix VirtualPC software. As I HAVE to use Windows natively on occasion, and have been using the Windows 7 RC for awhile, do you think I can qualify for the upgrade pricing if I preorder Windows 7? I'd rather not give Microsoft any more money than I have to.

I may be wrong about this since I haven't dabbled in Windows for a long time. But, last I remember when you buy the upgrade DVD it requires you to put in a previous windows CD/DVD to verify that you are eligible to use the upgrade version.

XP users can buy the upgrade version of W7. Obviously I haven't seen the RTM version yet but with Vista you can do a clean install using upgrade media - you don't need an XP disk for this.
