Hey again guys, I'm coming in with another question regarding my new mac mini.

Will this monitor be compatible with my mac mini? It also comes with a webcam, and I was wondering if I'd be able to use that as well.

How would the color look on it? Right now I'm using a 2 maybe 3 year old dell screen in the shape of a square and the color looks kind of fuzzy. How would it look on that particular monitor?

Thanks in advance.

The monitor will work. Any new monitor you can buy will work.

I am not sure about the webcam. Leopard has become very friendly to USB webcams so as long is it uses a standard webcam protocol it most likely will work but I cannot guarantee it 100%.

IWantItThatWay: You know, Dell sells a computer with the same specs as the mini for MORE, it is called the Studio Hybrid and is the most appropriate comparison to the Mac Mini. You pay for the form factor, not because it is a Mac.

Yeah I was talking about the Studio Hybrid (one with a 20 inch monitor I believe). But no, you buy the Mini because it's the cheapest Mac out there. Apple really needs to pull their heads out of their butts and release a real mid-range desktop instead of ripping off (stealing as far as I am concerned) their customers.

The colour of that monitor will look much better than your current monitor, but depending on your needs, it might still not be enough. If you plan to do anything which requires accurate colour reproduction, you're better off using a monitor with a PVA or IPS panel. I'm at school and the interwebs are slow as anything, but have a look at the Dell 2209WA. From what i've heard, it's a really nice panel.

To both of you;
THANK YOU for posting something relevant to what I've asked. I'll go check out that monitor now. I just have day-to-day needs, no professional work whatsoever, but this fuzzy screen that I have right now just isn't cutting it and would like to have a more "crisp" look.

So, I'll go check out that 2209

Ignorance and arrogance: Awful combo.

It seems as though you're trying to get under people's skins, so I don't want to encourage you, but please stop posting.

I also apologize to the OP, but this thread hasn't looked too promising for an answer anyway.

Enjoy your mini. I'd like to know what monitor you end up choosing and how it works because I'm probably going to purchase a headless Mac eventually and the ACD is a little too much for me.

what monitor did you end up buying? one with cam and mic?
let me know, I am also interested in buying a mini.
