Will this SSD fit in iMac?

I got an iMac (21.5", medio 2010) that needs a new hdd. I would like to go with an SSD but can someone please tell me if I can use this drive?

Proceed with caution as Samsung EVO drives do not play nice with older Macs. Something to do with the 6Gb/ps SATA III not being fully backwards compatible with the iMacs SATA II 3Gb/ps speed. Make sure the seller will exchange if you have problems.

Have a read of this from ifixit, particularly the post by Dan c on a Jeep and a Porsche on a gravel road. Also seriously consider replacing the SATA cable which ever way you do go:-

As above consider the crucial mx300 or mx 500 range they seem to have less compatability issues.

I realized that I had bougth the Crucial MX300 for my inlaws Mac Mini so I have bought that one again Thank you for the help
