Will this work with atv for now?

Will this converter let me use atv with a none HD tv for now? I plan on getting an hdtv for the bedroom, but not quite yet, and was hoping this would allow me to use one in the mean time?

obviously I'm talking about the component output of the atv going into this and then this into the scart socket on my tv.

What do you think?

being in the US, i'm unfamiliar with scart, but i don't see why it wouldn't work. i used my atv with a 4:3 tv for a while, and it worked, though it didn't look too great...

don't you have scart in the US?! didn't know that! how did you use your atv with a 4:3 tv? did you buy a similar converter?

Scart never got anywhere in the US, it's all phono connectors over there.

Strange eh? Scart was much more sensible.

Either way, Scart is on it's way out, HDMI is it's direct replacement...
