Will US phone work in UK?

If unlocked I assume it would yes, but it appears it's an Original iPhone, when in the UK you could buy an 8GB 3G from O2 on PAYG (no contract) for £342 then get it unlocked for £15 and you can use it on any network anywhere in the world. You'd have a newer model, unlocked, with warranty and no concerns about jail breaking and software updates for just over £100 more?

If it breaks, or has any screen issues etc, you can't take it to be repaired at a UK apple store as they don't repair non-european ones.
