Thoughts on this? I think the mac mini is the perfect machine for home theatre, all it needs is a blu-ray player in it. How long will we have to wait for this?

Maybe. There's probably just as good of a chance you'll see no optical drive in the Mini before you see BR.

The Mac Pro and MacBook Pro will get Blu-ray before the Mini. Then most likly the iMacs and MacBooks. Then last of all will be the Mac Mini. Plan on waiting for awhile.

Eventually, but first the HD iTunes stores needs to be established, then when everyone is accustomed, blu-ray will find it's way in the Macs

Blu Ray will be a short lived victory for Sony. Digital downloads is how people will buy their movies in the future. When Toshiba announced they were dropping HD-DVD everyone expected Blu-Ray players to start selling like mad and it hasn't happened yet. A 1080p upscaling DVD player gives you most of the picture quality at normal viewing distances, anyway.
