Lately I've been using plain old EarPods with 3.5mm port when at my laptop and I wonder, will they continue to offer these going forward, and possbily with USB-C if iPhone transitions, or even if it doesn't seeing as all iPads are now USB-C.

I have plenty of other headphones including AirPods Pro, Beats Studio3 and BeatsX but why cycle through the battery on those when just sitting around.

Also can't help but wonder if they do offer USB-C EarPods will that be the end of the 3.5mm jack altogether.
Maybe I'll buy some spares in the interim.

They brought back the 3.5mm on the Macs and even made them better for high impedance headphones so wouldn’t think that version is dead. Once Apple finally moves the iPhone to usb c we may see a new EarPods connector.

I would be thinking if they are going to remove EarPods entirely and push their wireless stuff. Nobody knows either way especially with Apple these days.

Apple already stops bundling EarPods with their iPhones. If the iPhone does ever switch to usb c, I wonder if Apple will simply phase out EarPods altogether?

At $19 a pop, I think it’s too easy of a money maker for them to ignore.
