will winterboard work on ipod touch 2g with 3.1.2 jailbreak?

Not having any problems with Winterboard or SB Settings.
I was having problems with SB Settings and Categories because I restored my Jailbroke apps from back up. Once I did a fresh restore and loaded just Cydia then downloaded SB, Winterboard and Categories...ALL is working perfectly now. I have not had one crash, hang up or problem.

I am using a 3GS iPhone that was jailbroke with RedSn0w to 3.0.1 and then used Blackra1n to upgrade to 3.1.2

What ipod/iphone do you have? Is it deffinatley on 3.1.2 because I am having the same problem on my iPhone 3G

Here is what you did wrong, I had the EXACT same problem.
What you need to do is if you still have blackra1n app installed, you're in luck. Otherwise you need to rejailbreak using blackra1n. Asssuming you no longer have blackra1n, rejailbreak (after a restore, setup as new phone to avoid problems), and when you use blackra1n on the phone for the first time ONLY INSTALL CYDIA. Then, once you have all your Cydia apps installed, then go back into blackra1n and install Rock or Icy, but do them ONE AT A TIME! NOT AT THE SAME TIME, OR YOUR APPS WILL NOT WORK!

Totally agree, and/OR...AFTER you load all of your Apps WITH CYDIA only, then go back into Cydia and load RYP/ICY ...do NOT use Blackra1n to install the other two.
Winterboard not working after blackra1n
If Winterboard is not working after Blackra1n, Cydia, and Icy then you can restore your phone and make sure you install Cydia ONLY! DONT install Icy!
I made that mistake and I really didnt want to spend those long hours restoring my phone so I reinstall Cydia from Blackra1n and reinstalled Winterboard and it works again.
