Will You Do The European Update on your iPhone?

At some point next week, probably Friday evening UK time after the UK iPhone is officially launched there will be a 1.1.2 firmware update out there for download from Apple.

It may NOT be an update for everyone - just a localised update to enable international keyboard and various other local settings.

BUT if you are in the UK or Europe it may well have some features that are VERY helpful!

I don't know how visual voicemail works - if you have to specifically have it activated in the UK or if it will JUST work with an iPhone on 02 but maybe that will be one thing that works...

To be honest just to get UK local settings I would update (I tried the plist hack for that 3 times and 3 times my iPhone became an iPod so I would rather use an official Apple update!).

Now obviously I am not going to go an update it before I know if it can be activated and JB'd like 1.1.1 - I hope that nothing will change in that respect but you never know!

So once the new firmware has been checked over and assuming a nice easy application like Independence on MAC works with 1.1.2 how many of you here will update the firmware?

Have we heard anything about this new firmware? Will we definitely see 1.1.2?

I really hope it can be "played" with, as I'm s*it out of luck if you can't.

Hopefully UK phones will come with 1.1.1 installed and 1.1.2 will be a an update via iTunes, from what i've been reading in another post on here (About AT&T new international data package) it looks like there will be a feature called 'iTunes Radio' coming soon

Yeah, I was hoping either that or 1.1.2 is just a minor update, with nothing that will interfere with my joy on Friday!
