My guess is no mainly due to them being on two different partitions. But whenever I reinstall OS X (which is rarely) I always completely wipe/reformat the entire disk. Peace of mind I guess. I don't mind fixing settings and whatnot, I love the feeling of a clean install. It's like an organized desk. Refreshing. :)

You may not need to when Snow Leopard is out, but the final release of Windows 7 will require a re-install.

I'm pretty sure M$ will put out an update that updates RC1 to 7, but will require a valid CD Key to continue using 7. Therefore I don't think it will require an re-install.

No, you'll be required to do a clean install (which is good because upgrading is a stupid idea in the first place).
