I realize it's a couple of months away and we know very little about the OS, but I am wondering will you upgrade to iOS 7 right away and lose your jailbreak? Or will you wait until there is a way to jailbreak iOS 7 knowing it could be months?

I always stay jailbroken until the next jailbreak comes out. Always. I'd have to be absolutely blown away by the new features apple added to the iOS. But given the past few years, I don't expect any earth shattering features that could make me give up the jailbreak, especially since jailbreak releases are so far apart now. We probably won't see an iOS7 jailbreak until Q1 2014. That assumption is based on iOS5 and iOS6 jailbreak release dates.

I ordered my iPhone 5 days after evasi0n was released and I'll be waiting for the next jailbreak. I highly doubt iOS 7 will be half as good as the way I have my iPhone setup now with all my jailbreak apps/tweaks.

And if you want a more flat design you can already get that now :p

I will wait until there is a new jailbreak..... I usually update phones every 2 years so I won't be forced into ios7 with a new device. I prefer jailbreak over any small increment of features that Apple is sure to feed us as if we are their pet hamsters :D

I'll wait. I've invested too much time/frustration/$$$ into what I have now to abandon it when the new eye candy comes out.

Also, the way I use my phone now depends on the tweaks and customizations I've made because of the jailbreak. Losing all that isn't worth it.

Not to mention that the JB dev community seems to come up with tweaks/alternatives that either give you the functionality of the new iOS or do it one better once a new version is released. If you abandon your jailbreak you can't take advantage of that.

Haha so true. Luckily for me I'm not a themer. So even though iOS could use some new, widespread design love, that alone wouldn't convince me to give up the functionality gained by jailbreak tweaks (Zephyr is the bomb!).

Most likely, the only way I give up my jailbreak is if I buy the iPhone 5S at or around launch. That's very likely since I've been sitting on an upgrade and I'm currently using the 4S. Making the leap to the newest device might make me give up the JB. Only time will tell!

yes, upgrade

I would only consider an upgrade if they incorporate something like NCSettings on the new OS...and even then I would have to think about it hard and long since I would really miss Activator, Zephyr, SwipeSelection and Auxo.

keeping my i5 at iOS 6.1.2 and Jailbroken will immensely help the resale of my phone. At least I think it will...just look at the Apple Tv 2, it sells for more than 2x the newer version!! Entirely because its jailbroken.

unless there are any ground breaking features, probably not anyway in november im planning on getting a htc one

i'm not planning on updating my iphone 5 until there is a jailbreak. Hell, I had an iphone 4s for a couple of weeks but sold it so that I could get an iphone 4 because I missed my jailbreak. Call me crazy, but I can't use a stock iphone.

same as most here. i wont be upgrading, and will wait out till the next jailbreak comes along.
ALSO... considering my wife's iphone 4s is not jailbroken, ill just upgrade that and play around with the new eye candy.
shall enjoy best of both worlds :D

While not necessarily related to a jailbreak, I will for sure update my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 but may keep my iPad 3 and mini on iOS 6 to ensure performance is still as good. I can see those two devices slowing down a bit on the next iOS but time will tell.

Yeah I don't think I'll be upgrading my ipad anymore. 6.1.2 is the end of the line for my 3 :) it works great

5 I will probably get but ill wait til everything is updated and ill wanna be sure battery and performance is still up to par.

Can you recommend a theme that makes the UI flat? I've seen flat icons but can't find anything that takes care of the core UI.

There were metro themes in the Strife modmyi thread but I don't have them sorry. Just google "strife modmyi"

What I'll probably do is upgrade my iPad straight away as I don't jailbreak that (Nothing I need for it on Cydia) but my iPhone I do have jailbroken so I'll probably hold off on updating that until a jailbreak is available.

But really it depends heavily on what features iOS 7 has.

I will not. Back when I was on 5.1.1 with Absinthe I tried iOS 6 for a week and tried to go back to iOS 5 for my jailbreak, I couldn't go back. It was so horrible to not have my jailbreak until Evasi0n came out. I almost jumped ship a couple of times.
