This poll is mainly to see how many people were going to buy iPhone X, but decided not to because the shipping date is November 3rd.

I'm waiting. i've waited to get something "new" since the iP6s (coming from a iP6) so i can wait another month and change.

Ugh, I don't know. I wanted the X. Not sure I want to wait until AT LEAST early November. The 8 doesn't seem THAT different with the exception of no bezels and Face ID vs. Touch ID. I'm about 80% sure I'm going to wait. Some of the disappointment being acknowledged here is helping to reassure me I may get it on the pre-order.

I feel like now that I have to wait it gives me more time to be logical about it, which could result in not buying it haha. Usually you get excited after the keynote look forward to Friday pre-orders and preorder and then wait on UPS :p .

Now I have a month and some days to mull it over if it's worth spending the $1149 + $200 in AppleCare+.

I cringed at the 'cutout' when I saw the demo - viewing photos or videos or playing games. It's far too distracting.
I am trying hard to ignore it but I think I'll have to go 8 plus.

Yes it is. If you go to apples site like you're going to order a phone it asks if you want to add AppleCare+ for $199 :O
Yeah, looking at the iPhone Upgrade Program works out to $1,197.84 for the 64GB iPhone X over two years. So the 256GB model (not listed yet) should be $56.16/mo for a total of $1,347.84. The per-year price for each model is $598.92 and $673.92, respectively. For comparison, a 256GB iPhone 8 on the program would run $40.75/mo for a total of $978, or $489/yr, a savings of only $184.92/yr. The iPhone 8 Plus probably isn't that much less even still.

I don't mind waiting and looking forward to something but I'll hate it if delivery times slip within the first few minutes of pre orders going live. If however this is a plan to avoid this as happened last year with the high demand for the 7+ then I welcome the delay!

Im really pissed the shipping date is that far away. Was hoping to have a new iPhone in hand by the end of the month. The 8 won't cut it as, well christ the design is years old. Maybe jump ship to samsung for a few months and see how the X fairs. If the X lives up to hype, sell s8+ and go back to iPhone.
