Ok i have a dual boot with xp and have just now been playing COD 2 for the first time on it and my temps initially hit 80C they are now down to 66C but the problem is that i use the wsda keys to control my game and resting my hand on the left hand side is really hard as it gets bloody hot there. Is there a way to up the fan speed in XP as that will help I think, any other hints from you other gamers out there?

I have a 17" MBP btw

if you use smcfancontrol on osx first start in osx and set the fans at the speed you want and then restart into windows and they should stay on while your in windows.

Does this really work? I would think the fans would be set to normal when the computer is booted into XP
