Hello there :)

How do i move all my favourites from IE on XP to my favourites on IE with OSX? I've moved them all onto this machine (powerbook) but they don't work with IE.

I'm sure all you aficionados know some way of doing this with ease...which is why i'm asking here.

THANK you!

Oh and is there a limit to how many favourits you can have in one folder?

This isn't too hard - just go into your Windows XP machine, open Internet Explorer, and choose Import and Export from the File menu. Choose "Export Favorites" as the action, then choose the file to export the favorites file to, then finish the wizard to export the favorites. Once that's done, copy the resulting .htm file to your Mac, and use your browser's import function to import the favorites. If you are importing into Safari, you'll need to enable the debug menu first - open Terminal and type "defaults write com.apple.Safari EnableDebugMenu 1" (without the quotes) and press return to do this. You can quit Terminal when you're done.

Ok I've got the bookmark.htm file with all the links and I can select them from that perfectly :D but, the import favourites/export favourites in explorer on the mac are greyed out, so i can't select import. Its not a problem really though, i can still access all the links so either way it works out.

Thanks!! :)
