Is there any way to use Win10's "Nearby Sharing" as a way to get photos from my iphone X to my win10 pc (like with AirDrop)?

I see lots of articles about win10-to-win10 but I've also read IOS is supported but I can't see how.

From "Howtogeek": 'For now, Nearby Sharing only works between two Windows 10 PCs that have the feature enabled.', are you sure that iOS is indeed supported already? p.s. Do you want specifically Wi-Fi connection or just move photos to PC?

I guess most of the time it will be moving files from my iphone to my win10 pc. Wifi and/or Bluetooth direct would be great. Saving them all to OneDrive then downloading them to my win10, then deleting the ones I don't want is somewhat cumbersome.

iMazing would be better for this case imo. Basically it should do the stuff you need as I understand - allow you to connect your phone via Wi-Fi and import/export photos + lots of other useful stuff. As a bonus you'll have automatic HEIC > JPEG conversion on the fly if needed).

Also the Cristmas sale seems to be extended for a few days, so you can get it with a nice discount.

I have iCloud photos enabled, and then I use the ICloud app for Windows 10 to sync copies down to my Windows 10 PC. Only problem is it dumps thousands of images into a single folder in Windows.

I’m a Lightroom user as well, so I can also use Lightroom to sync curated images between the devices.

As an amateur photograph enthusiast and Lightroom user, I still think of my computer hard drive as the primary working location for Lightroom. I upload my most important stuff to my Smugmug site once I have edited and tagged the photos. Increasingly I am just uploading photos and videos from my iPhone to Smugmug directly.

I guess I’m moving ever closer to a cloud based workflow. I agree that Onedrive isn’t the best solution for photos (Google Photos is better IMHO), but you can make Onedrive work for you by syncing it to your desktop.

Any other apps like ShareIt? (with a windows companion app)?

I like the functionality of ShareIt (and the companion windows app).

The free iphone app was obnoxious with the qty of popup ads so I bought the pro version.

The first time I used it, I got lots of failed transfers to my carbon x1 windows laptop.

However, the 2nd time it was ok.

I wish there was a 'select-all' or multi-select feature.

I used it to backup my favorite folder on my phone and had to click 480 pics :)

Thanks for the suggestions!
